Overview

tellme is a developer-preview Android keyboard and one project from BAD Thoughts. The app uses microphone access to capture speech for voice input.

Data Processed

The preview Android build captures microphone audio on device. It does not send raw audio to a server. The current preview transcriber is a placeholder used to validate the keyboard workflow.

Network Use

If a rewrite backend URL is configured, transcript text may be sent to that backend to polish the text before insertion. The default intended deployment is self-hosted by the user or organization operating the app.

Data Sharing

tellme does not sell user data. The app does not include advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.

Retention

The Android app does not intentionally persist microphone audio or transcript history. Backend operators are responsible for the retention policy of any self-hosted rewrite service they configure.
